Mladá Boleslav, 10 July 2019 – ŠKODA delivered 620,900 vehicles to customers worldwide in the first half of 2019, meaning the car manufacturer is down 4.9% on last year’s level (January to June 2018: 652,700 vehicles). In June, the company recorded 112,500 deliveries, with significant increases especially in Europe. The compact SUV ŠKODA KAROQ was a growth driver in the first half of the year. Most recently, the new ŠKODA SCALA was successfully launched in the markets.

Alain Favey, ŠKODA AUTO Board Member for Sales and Marketing, emphasises: “The deliveries in the first half of the year show that our product campaign is showing its full strength around the world. In Europe and Russia, in particular, we were once again able to make significant increases. Chinese market remains challenging. Despite uncertainties in the world markets we will continue on our growth course as planned in the second half of the year. Our new compact models SCALA and KAMIQ have been very well received by customers. The recently upgraded SUPERB and the new SUPERB SCOUT will also provide stimulus for further growth.”
