The future of motoring is advancing towards electric vehicles and their promise of efficiency and environmental friendliness. The Škoda Octavia introduces a new form of drive combining a classic internal combustion engine and an electric motor. This system means it is classed among plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs), which are very economical and efficient to run. Its purely electric green drive is paired with a petrol engine for extra momentum and range. The Škoda Octavia iV is available in both body styles.

Octavias in the EU will be fitted with a central airbag on the inner side of the driver’s backrest as standard. This tenth airbag in the Octavia’s interior is designed to protect the driver and front passenger from colliding into each other, especially if the car is hit from the side. Passenger safety is enhanced by a host of advanced driver-assistance systems, including Collision Avoidance Assist, Turn Assist and Exit Warning.
